Greetings, friends and loved ones. I am John S. Mojagson, ace reporter, historian, researcher, and archeologist. I started working on this project in the summer of the year 516 C.D. (that's Celestial Dating, for those who've recently immigrated to the empire). It was just before the 44th cycle when I was, above all others, granted permission to read through the private journals of the late emperor. Quite an interesting read, indeed. I wanted to compile the various diaries into a series of books for all the empire to read. An astute reader may notice that specific details aren't exactly one-to-one with how we know them.
